Ingredients:


1 pound ground beef


4 large potatoes, thinly sliced


1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup


1/2 cup milk


1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions:


Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish:


Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.


Cook Ground Beef:


In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until crumbly. Drain excess grease and season with salt and pepper.


Layer Potatoes and Beef:


Place a layer of thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom of the greased baking dish. Evenly spread the cooked ground beef over the potatoes.


Prepare Soup Mixture:


In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup with milk. Pour this mixture over the beef layer in the baking dish.


Bake:


Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.


Add Cheese:


Remove the casserole and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.


Serve:


Allow the casserole to stand for 5 minutes before serving to set slightly.
